Goodwill – the premium of a
company’s worth, the dollars paid for the company which exceed its
balance sheet value. It is
the product of a company’s employees and the way in which they work
together, i.e. the arrangements (or means) the company uses to implement
its strategic direction and produce the results it asks for and expects,
given its particular products, services, markets, etc.
It is a reflection of how successfully the organization manages
these means across a business.
